Board Director

With over 30 years of international experience across the USA, Bermuda, UK, and Canada, Sib Shaw has built a diverse career spanning hospitality, retail, and healthcare. Beginning as Head Baker on Celebrity Cruises and Pastry Chef at The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, Sib later advanced into retail leadership as Store Manager at Walmart Supercenter, overseeing 300+ employees and a $60 million annual budget while earning multiple awards for operational excellence. Working with The North West Company, Canada’s oldest organization, offered Sib the rare opportunity to serve remote Arctic communities and collaborate with Indigenous, Métis, and Inuit partners—an experience that strengthened his cultural awareness and resilience.

After the pandemic disrupted his career, Sib transitioned into healthcare, completing the Nutrition and Food Service Management program at Algonquin College and leadership training with SafeCare BC. Today, he serves as Director of Operations at Three Links Care Society, overseeing Food Services, Housekeeping, Laundry, and Maintenance.

Sib currently volunteers as President of the Pacific Society of Nutrition Management, Board Member of Langara College’s Nutrition Education program, and Board Member of Pioneer Community Living Association. He also leads as President of Strata Corporation EPS 5539, contributing to community governance and organizational development across multiple sectors
